2022 ELECTIONS

The WBO Democracy Observatory monitored the 2022 Presidential Elections through articulations with similar initiatives maintained in plural and independent academic and social institutes in Brazil.

Weekly newsletters and biweekly podcasts were published with analyzes aimed at international audiences, and monthly programmatic debates were also held with experts from Brazil and the United States on parallel topics of common interest to both countries.

The 2022 Elections - which happened in the 200th year of Brazil’s independence - changed and consolidated the politics of the entire region. Therefore, a rigorous monitoring of this process was essential.
