The SDG and 2030 Agendas for Sustainable Development are crucial for Brazil's socioeconomic development. Brazil still faces the challenge of eradicating extreme poverty for all people everywhere; creating strong policy frameworks at national, regional, and international levels, based on pro-poor, gender-sensitive development strategies to support accelerated investments in poverty eradication actions; ensuring equal opportunities and reducing inequalities in results, including through the elimination of discriminatory laws, policies and practices and promoting adequate legislation, policies and actions in this regard; empowering and promoting the social, economic and political inclusion of all, regardless of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic status.

This program seeks to contribute to thinking and acting to help Brazil achieve higher levels of productivity, through diversification, technological modernization and innovation, including through a focus on high value-added and labor-intensive sectors; to progressively improve the efficiency of global resources in consumption and production, and strive to decouple economic growth from environmental degradation; to promote development-oriented policies that support productive activities, generation of decent employment, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and encourage the formalization and growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises; to protect labor rights and promote safe and secure working environments for all workers, including migrant workers, in particular migrant women, and people in precarious and informal employment.
