In the 80th episode of Brazil Unfiltered, James Naylor Green talks to João Carlos Jarochinski Silva, a specialist in migration and refugee issues. He is a Professor at Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR) in a joint appointment at the Faculty of International Relations and the Sociedade e Fronteiras (Society and Borders) Postgraduate Programme. He holds a PhD in Social Sciences (International Relations) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP) and a Masters in International Law from Universidade Católica de Santos (UniSantos). He was a visiting researcher at The Center for Latin American & Latino Studies (CLALS) of American University in Washington, D.C. Jarochinski is actively involved in the assistance and research of the Venezuelans in Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil. On the show, the discuss the role of immigration in US and Brazil political debates.
