The Washington Brazil Office (WBO) published this Monday, March 31, its 2025 Policy Paper – a document that, each year, provides an x-ray of the situation in Brazil in the areas of democracy, sustainable development, immigration, Brazil-US economic relations, and global governance.
The document offers a series of analyses on the relationship between Brazil and the United States in a context of accelerated change in global governance structures and international alliances. The WBO Policy Paper also provides recommendations to strengthen diplomatic and strategic engagement between the two nations.
Over the years, the publication has established itself as a reference for researchers, politicians, activists, journalists and decision-makers from both the public sector and private and philanthropic institutions, as well as funders and international organizations from Brazil and the United States.
The WBO is an independent institution specialized in thinking about Brazil and supporting actions that strengthen the role of civil society and institutions dedicated to the promotion and defense of democracy, human rights, freedoms, and the sustainable socioeconomic and environmental development of the country. The organization's objective is to produce knowledge and assist the international work of all sectors that need support, action, bilateral exchanges, knowledge production, and the construction of cooperative relations between Brazil and the United States and/or with international organizations and organizations based in the United States.
